April 26--Discovery Place Inc. announced Tiffany Atlas pendant that Richmond County Tourism Development Authority has given $100,000 to the Discovery Place KIDS project in Rockingham. An unincorporated division of the Richmond County Government, the Richmond Tiffany Atlas ring Tourism Development Authority develops travel, tourism and convention business in Richmond County.
The donation marks the first major gift to the comprehensive capital campaign for Discovery Place KIDS-Rockingham following the initial leadership Tiffany Atlas tag pendant of the Cole and Richmond Community Foundations as endowment partners and the City of Rockingham as facility partner. Discovery Place KIDS, a Museum developed by Charlotte-based Discovery Place, Inc., is dedicated to providing creative learning experiences through interactive play for children and their caregivers.
"Our donation was a collaborative effort to bring an attraction to Rockingham that we believe will have regional appeal," said Rick Sago, president of Tiffany Atlas toggle bracelet Richmond County Tourism Development Authority and Richmond County manager. "We anticipate that the new Museum will add to the quality of life for residents, will attract new visitors and will continue to be a gift to the community for generations to come."
