Nov. 28--The Aiken Quilt Shoppe's Heart tag charm Toggle bracelet area shone with silver Saturday morning as the shop hosted a Silpada Sterling Silver Jewelry Party.Silpada representative Ruth Ann Henderer showed off a table of sample pieces from the company's line of sterling silver and mixed gemstone necklaces, earrings, bracelets, pendants and chains, rings and charms. Henderer also had a stack of catalogs advertising more of Silpada's stock."I Pierced charm bracelet with them in October, and I've already had two shows," Henderer said. "I'd had their jewelry parties before; I used to be a Pampered Chef representative and decided I wanted to do something different."

Henderer is also a loyal Aiken Quilt Shoppe customer, according to shop owner Nancy Clifton, so the store was a natural venue for the jewelry party."We're doing it as a fundraiser for the Pink Ribbonettes of Aiken County, which is a breast cancer Heart Band Bangle group," Clifton said.The Pink Ribbonettes meet once a month at Millbrook Baptist Church and works in conjunction with the American Cancer Society to offer information, education and support to breast cancer patients and survivors.

Newly diagnosed breast cancer patients dealing with the shock of the diagnosis are a particular concern for the group.Jewelry shoppers weren't able to Tiffany Notes I Love You bangle their purchases home with them Saturday, but they put in orders with Henderer to be shipped to their homes. Henderer said she plans to stop taking orders from this show Tuesday, with the goal of getting the orders processed and shipped in time for Christmas.
